Forklift Operator Training

5 great reasons to book a Forklift Training Course with Agoge

  • Stunning multimedia based training: We are often told that sitting forklift training can be boring. That's why we developed our theory training to include mutlimedia that you and your staff will actually enjoy and learn from.
  • Only the BEST trainers: Each of our trainers have extensive experience training and have worked in roles previously related to forklift operating. This gives them the ability to not only provide excellent applicable training but the ability to relate to the trainees on the course and their jobs.
  • Regular Courses: We offer weekly courses in Auckland and Hamilton, and fortnightly courses in Wellington. We commonly do onsite courses for clients that would prefer training to be onsite. This can easily be arranged by contacting us on the details below.
  • New Zealand Owned: We are 100% New Zealand owned and operated.

What is a forklift licence?

A forklift licence consists of two parts, the F endorsement and the forklift operators certificate. The operators certificate entitles you to drive a forklift. The F endorsement entitles you to drive a forklift where there may be public or on public roads. The operators certificate expires every 3 years, while the F endorsement does not expire.
If you are unsure of what forklift training you need to drive a forklift in New Zealand, click here to watch a short video that should answer all your questions.

Am I eligible?

If you have a current full New Zealand drivers licence, you are eligible to receive both the F endorsement and the forklift operators certificate. However, if you only have your learners or restricted licence, you only qualify for the operators certificate.

What type of forklifts can I be trained for?

Our standard forklift training is for counterbalanced forklifts, however we also offer specialist training for all forklift types. Please let us know if you require forklift training that is not counterbalanced. We can also offer training for attachments, man cages, and beginner operator training.

How much does forklift training cost?

Can I have this course added to my record of learning?

Yes, many of our courses have NZQA unit standards available and/or on request. The unit standards we offer are:
  • US18496 - Demonstrate skills for driving a forklift on a road for endorsement F
  • US10851 - Operate a powered industrial lift truck (forklift)  (on request)
  • US10852 - Operate a powered industrial lift truck (forklift) fitted with attachments
  • US18409 - Use a forklift mounted safety platform in the workplace

**Additional note regarding F endorsement

On completion of the forklift training course you will receive a course certificate. On it’s own this certificate is not a licence or endorsement. You must take it to a licencing agent (VTNZ, AA) and have it added to your licence. There is an additional fee for this.
